Description

Very cool – unbranded 1840’s .36 Cal, under-hammer percussion boot pistol. This is a complete, working pistol with burl walnut furniture, brass wrapping. It has a two step hammer, and was a popular design in the mid to late 1840’s, as it was easily and safely concealed in a boot holster. This one shows powder corrosion around nipple, but is otherwise in great condition, cocks, and drops hammer as expected. Hex barrel tapers 1/2 way to muzzle into a round barrel.  Has sights cut into top, and bears letters – BELL, peened into top just below sight.
