Remington Deringer .41 Cal, Model 95, Type II (Model 3) (circa 1888-1911). In good functional condition with 60% retained nickel finish, browning to blued screws and hammer.  Wear on Bakelite grips.  Characterized by a barrel marking in a single line reading “REMINGTON ARMS CO., ILION, N.Y.” on the top of the barrel. Having a tight action with no cracks to hinge area.  Bears a Batch serial number of 91 or 16 on the barrel – third models were made in batches from 1888 to 1911, with the serial numbers starting at 1 for each batch. We have no idea how many batches were made, nor how many may have been in each batch, as such we only know this piece was made somewhere between 1888 and 1911.
